Freedom of Speech and Millennials

With social media and technology being the center of it all now a days, many people will just go on Twitter, or Facebook to speak their minds about anything they please. Today's Millennials are seen to be the kids "all about being able to speak their minds."

The Pew Research Center published a graph showing the older generation valuing free speech more than Millennials (those in the 18 to 34 age range) two to one. More millennials believe that the government should regulate people from saying certain things.

I believe that most is this has to do with social media. When a teenager or a young adult posts their opinion about politics or even their favorite sports teams, they want people to agree with their opinion. In today's age, Millennials have a hard time with dealing with criticism and want acceptance. The freedom of expression is only tolerated by Millennials when it is agreed with.
